If you choose to study abroad with us, you will have two ISEP Coordinators. One will be your home ISEP Coordinator, who is an employee of your university with part of his or her duties designated for ISEP. Most home ISEP Coordinators work in your institution’s international office or are professors with a special interest in international student services.
They are responsible for:
- Providing study abroad advising and support
- Discussing and reviewing any ISEP eligibility requirements with you
- Helping you select courses abroad
- Reviewing your application and answering questions
- Arranging your pre-departure orientation
- Being an emergency contact representative for you while you are abroad
- Recommending you to become an ISEP Ambassador when you return
Your other ISEP Coordinator will be at your host institution, the university or college that you are planning to study abroad at. Your host ISEP Coordinator is an employee of your host institution with part of his or her duties designated for ISEP. They either work in the international office of your host institution or are professors with a special interest in international student services.
They are responsible for:
- Making housing and meal arrangements prior to your arrival
- Arranging your on-site orientation
- Helping you enroll in courses at your host university
- Connecting you with your host institution’s support systems
- Helping you deal with any issues that arise throughout your stay
