Wendy L. Martinec

Director of Member Relations | Members located in Asia & Oceania

Based in Melbourne, Australia, Wendy works with ISEP members to realize their internationalization goals and ensure access to transformative global study opportunities. She is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for ISEP’s engagement in the Asia and Oceania region, including relationships with institutions, governments, and peak industry bodies. Originally from Pennsylvania, Wendy holds an undergraduate degree from Penn State University. She is currently undertaking MBA studies at the Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne. Previously, Wendy held executive international positions at an ISEP member institution in Australia. With expertise in learning abroad and international student services, Wendy served for 6 years on the ISEP Council of Advisors (2015-2021). For more than 2 decades, she has contributed to the intellectual discourse on the internationalization of higher education through presentations at international education conferences and forums, and most recently to the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA) Learning Abroad White Paper. Wendy enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 sons, and her Beagle, and connecting with family and friends around the world – usually with a cup of coffee.
