We are proud to announce ISEP received a Gold Level Seal for Transparency from GuideStar Exchange, recognizing our commitment to financial transparency. GuideStar connects donors and grant makers to a database of over 2.7 million nonprofit organizations. ISEP is one of 75,000 organizations to have earned a GuideStar Seal. Although ISEP received GuideStar’s Silver Level Seal for transparency for seven consecutive years, 2021 marks our first year achieving gold level.
“At ISEP our mission is to break down financial and academic barriers to make study abroad accessible for all. An important part of delivering our mission is ensuring financial transparency for all aspects of our organization. We are proud that GuideStar recognizes this commitment,” said ISEP President and CEO, John Lucas.
ISEP works to open the way to study abroad for all students through our ISEP Community Scholarship and ISEP Founders Fellowship. 100% of donations made to ISEP support our student scholarships, with the majority of contributions coming from members of our ISEP community—alumni, current student and staff from our member universities, leaders and ISEP team members. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, we are committed to nonprofit transparency and accountability. Our finances are independently audited each year and we file annually IRS Form 990, copies of which are available publicly on GuideStar Exchange, where we have achieved the Gold Level for transparency.
